Overview
On Horse Isle 2, crafting is much more complicated in comparison to Horse Isle 1. There are five levels of each crafting skill (constructing, cooking, jeweling, and sewing). When you first start crafting, you are at the lowest level. You cannot craft items that are of a higher level than your skill, but you can craft items that the same as your level or below it.
Effort points are what you use (with the ingredients/materials needed) to craft the item. You can use these effort points immediately or save them until you have a max of 48 hours worth of points. By crafting more and more items, you will gain increase your number of total effort, which will allow you to level up and craft even more and valuable items. It is important to keep leveling up your crafting skills as soon as possible because there is a limit on how many times you can craft a day and because some Esrohs require a certain level to pass their guardian requirement. It will take time to level up. It does not happen overnight, so get started!
How to Craft
Before you start crafting you need/be aware of the following things:
-The crafting kit needed for the type of craft you want to do
-The craftplan
-The ingredients/materials needed for the craft
-Enough effort points
-The correct level of your skill and of the craftplan
(TIP: If you complete Demeter's Esroh quest, you have the chance of creating an extra item when you craft!)
Let's break it down.
1. First, you need the correct crafting kit. Cooking Set for Cooking, Constructing Tools for Constructing, Sewing Kit for Sewing, and Jeweler Kit for Jeweling. You can buy them from tools shops. See our tool shop list on where to buy these.
2. You need the craft plan itself to craft. You can find the craft plan you want by looking at our crafting lists. Once you find the craft plan you want, go to that location and find the craft plan. Click on it, and select learn. Now you can find your craft plan in your craft book!
3. Once you get your craft plan, you can look at it by clicking CRAFT on your toolbar. To look at the ingredients/materials needed click VIEW for Full details and find the craft plan. You can craft here too, by clicking the MAKE buttons once you have the required items.
4. You also need enough effort points to craft. If you just used your up - don't worry! They will regenerate. Just look at the chart below for regeneration rates.
5. As mentioned earlier, you cannot craft items that are of a higher level than your skill, but you can craft items that the same as your level or below it. Please be aware that the higher the level the craft is, the higher chance of failure. Keep reading for more information.
How to Actually Craft
If you have all of the items required, effort points necessary, and you have the craft plan and correct tool kit, then you are ready to craft!
1. Click CRAFT on your toolbar.
2. Select whichever you prefer. Your recipes shows the shortened version of your craft plans without the ingredients/materials. Full details shows everything.
3. Press the MAKE button on the right to craft! Whoohoo!
Here are the following levels and the amount of points that regenerated and the maxinum points you can save up.
Level 1 (0 points) = 3 points per hour / max 144 points
Level 2 (100 points) = 5 points per hour / max 240 points
Level 3 (1,000 points) = 8 points per hour / max 384 points
Level 4 (10,000 points) = 12 points per hour / max 576 points
Level 5 (100,000 points) = 17 points per hour / max 816 points
Failure
When you fail a crafting attempt, you do not lose any materials, you only lose the effort points needed to craft that item. So it is better to craft lower level items, since you have a better percentage of success.
The formula for failing a craft:
Failure Odds = 30% + (Plan Level x 10%) - (Your Skill Level x 15%)
Crafting Level 1 Items Failure Percentages
Level 1 = 25% fail
Level 2 = 10% fail
Level 3, 4, 5 = 0% fail
Crafting Level 2 Items Failure Percentages
Level 2 = 20% fail
Level 3 = 5% fail
Level 4, 5 = 0% fail
Crafting Level 3 Items Failure Percentages
Level 3 = 15% fail
Level 4, 5 = 0% fail
Crafting Level 4 Items Failure Percentages
Level 4 = 10% fail
Level 5 = 0% fail
Crafting Level 5 Items Failure Percentages
Level 5 = 5% fail
